Job description: Powell's Books, the nation's top independent bookseller, is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager of Operations for our downtown store. As a member of the management team, the Assistant Manager of Operations is responsible for the oversight and leadership of the Operations Group, which includes Manager on Duty functions, the Cashiering Department, Generalist Booksellers, Customer Service, Safety, and Loss Prevention. The Assistant Manager of Operations inspires and motivates the Operations Group by presenting a compelling vision and direction. The ideal candidate will have: This is a full-time position. The schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday, including at least one closing shift and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The wage range for this position is $23.51 to $28.00.
