Powells.com recommends downloading your Adobe eBooks via Adobe Reader 7.
IMPORTANT!!! Though there is a newer version of Adobe Reader (Adobe Reader 8), that version does not support ebooks. You must have Adobe Reader 6 or 7 installed to take full advantage of all the capabilities of Adobe ebooks, including printing and backing up*.
If you don't already have a copy of Adobe Reader 7 installed, click here to download it now. But be careful to install Adobe Reader 7 (Adobe Reader 7.0.9) and not Adobe Reader 8.1. Sorry for the complexity, but trust us, you'll love Adobe Reader 7.
* Bonus point: To further complicate matters, there is actually an even newer version of the Adobe eBook Reader, but at this point that new product cannot print to all printers and some other important features. So, for the time being, we recommend using Adobe Reader 7.
