Powell's Oregon Journal
We're suckers for black leather. Even though our new Powell's Books ruled notebook has a cover that only resembles black leather, we can't help but get a little weak in the knees. There are no tattoos between the covers, but we can sure draw some in. Just running our fingers across those smooth, ultra-writable pages makes us want to hop on the back of a chopper and race down a desert highway with our arms wrapped tightly around that journal.

Powell's Oregon Sticker
Why did they make the Powell's Books Oregon stickers red? Is it to evoke a fire engine and remind us that our book-love blazes tirelessly? Probably not, that's pretty cheesy. Ooh, maybe it's like the red wax covering the cheese wheel we masticate whilst sharing favorite books with friends! Perhaps it means "caught red-handed," like the so-called "friends" who keep trying to borrow our books. Or it might refer to the red heart that signifies the bibliophilia that consumes our magnificent state.
