All the world was Technicolor. "Why does Bear insist on buying the bargain brand of catnip?" she mumbled upon waking, reaching a paw into the air, stretching her claws. She blinked a few times, squinted, and shook her head quickly – trying to adjusting the tint, perhaps. Orange, yellow, purple, blue, and green.

In hindsight, it's easy to understand how painting our bodies head to toe in the new web site colors would confuse her first thing in the morning. After all, we'd never painted ourselves before (not on work hours, anyway). Add the giant new poster of Fup's face hanging from the wall opposite her bed, and it's easy to see how she could have been a bit disoriented.

She looked again at her giant face on the wall, then reconsidered the rainbow of friends and coworkers around her. "You're all smeared and smudged," she told Claudine, whose green face was streaked with rain.

"I went to get bagels," Claudine explained.

"Save me some of the Lox spread, please," Fup told her, and with that, she licked her paw, patted a cowlick on her head, and closed her eyes to sleep again.
