"Let's go mess with some worms," Bear suggests.

Yesterday Fup bought catnip to share with Bear on Thanksgiving, but given today's weather and the lack of goings-on maybe she should invite him back to the store and open it now. She's ready to get out of the rain.

"Leave the worms alone," she tells him.

It's no use, she knows. Every year, come the end of Daylight Savings, Bear begins to lose his mind. But if they use the catnip now, will they even want it come the holiday?

"Bet I can gather ten in that coffee can in less than three minutes," he tells her.

She nods. They'll both be sneezing for days, paying for this, but doesn't he cut quite a figure with wet fur? He does. And surely he'll tire soon enough. In the meantime, there's always this dry spot under the slide.
