Bear swung back into town for the long Valentine's Day weekend. Cats, it turns out, get the day off work for Valentine's instead of President's Day. Who knew?

Saturday morning the two of them hopped a ride to the beach house, and they didn't return until Monday night. We're all a bit curious to see what she'll make of it this morning, if she'll act as if his visiting was nothing special. They went out there with friends (the calico couple, the Sorenson brothers, and the tabby who just moved to St. John), but it was Valentine's, and she did spend hours cleaning herself when out of the blue he phoned from his stop-over at O'Hare.
