Robert Sabuda
Describe your latest project.
My latest book is Winter's Tale, part of my all-white pop-up series. During winter when I was a boy my father would walk with me through the snow-covered terrain of rural Michigan and point out all the different animal tracks. He knew exactly which track belonged to which animal! Winter's Tale is a celebration of all those winter animals.

Introduce one other author you think people should read, and suggest a good place to start.
David Carter's One Red Dot is one of the most innovative movable books in decades. Hopefully it will help continue a trend for non-traditional books for children.
Describe your most memorable teacher.
Maureen Lucas was my high school art teacher and turned me from the proverbial lump of teenage clay into a young artist ready to enter Pratt Institute in New York City.

I don't ever recall a time that I didn't want to be an artist.
