Publisher Comments:
Becky is a plump, sexy chef who has a wonderful husband and baby girl, a restaurant that's received citywide acclaim — and the mother-in-law from hell. Kelly is an event planner who's struggling to balance work and motherhood while dealing with an unemployed husband who seems content to channel-surf for eight hours a day. And Ayinde's basketball superstar husband breaks her trust at her most vulnerable moment, putting their new family even more in the public eye. Then there's Lia, a Philadelphia native who has left her Hollywood career behind, along with her husband and a tragic secret, to start her life all over again.
From prenatal yoga to postbirth sex, Little Earthquakes is a frank, funny, fiercely perceptive take on the comedies and tragedies of love and marriage.

I absolutely loved this book! This was my first "true to my age" book that I have read in a long, long time. Since having my kids I usually stear towards junior fiction. I am SO glad I set aside my 9-12 age books to read this spectacular work of fiction!
"Little Earthquakes" blew me away! I loved every part about it. I actually felt like I was going along with these women on their journey of motherhood, it made me remember the fun, warm and cozy times when my kids were babies and also made me feel glad that my motherhood journey is progressing foward with no more diapers, no more worrying if they are still breathing...oops I still check them even though they are 12 and 5.
I think Jennifer captured every little inch of the spectrum of motherhood, from the happiest to the ultimate in sadness. It makes you feel blissfully happy, angry, curious and very sad all at the same time about each lady's particular situation.
I will definately re-read this many times and recommend it to everyone I see, it is truely marvelous! I hope Jen will write a sequel!
