Synopsis
Each of the essays in
Gifts of the Spirit share Ardath (Ardie) Rodale's vision of where we can find spirituality: in the various, everyday events, responsibilites and moments of joy and sadness that make up our lives. Whether she's writing about alone-time spent on a garden path or the special, poignant meaning a perfectly formed white feather has, Ardie shows us that common ground exists within personal experience.
Anyone who has ever marveled at the pure joy of a child's smile, been amazed at how a chance encounter with a stranger can have unexpected meaning, or felt the mysterious power that sharing with others can bring, will find the observations and wisdom in Gifts of the Spirit reaching into their hearts and souls. We will reconnect with the core of spiritual life-- home and family-- and be moved to examine our own life experiences for the sacred lessons they can teach, no matter what our faith may be.
