About the Author
Charles Euchner is the author and editor of seven books, a former college professor, city planner, and journalist. His books include Playing the Field: Why Sports Teams Move and Cities Fight to Keep Them; The Umpire's Handbook. He has appeared on ABC's "Nightline," ESPN's "Sports Center," NPR's "Morning Edition" etc, and has been quoted extensively in the national press.

Solidedly researched, well-written. Funny, sad, and enlightening. As a baseball insider, having played Little league as a kid and coached teams into numerous elite national tournaments, I found this book hits the mark.
From anal parents seeking to get their kid scholarship offers, to overly agressive tourney directors, over-stressed kids, Euchner has made this book a sure fire topic of hot discussion at the next Little League Board meeting.
