The plot patterns have begun to show here, but Meyer's other strengths remain intact. The supernatural elements accentuate the ordinary human dramas of growing up. Jake and Edward's competition for Bella feels particularly authentic, especially in their apparent desire to best each other as much as to win Bella. Even though I took three or four days to work my way through this installment, I mostly took my time because I realized that there's a fourth book forthcoming and I hate waiting. I thought I'd had my fill of teenage angst, but for the next week I woke up wanting to reading for the fourth book. (I'd have given it five stars, but the poorly written dialogue, which is heavily relied on to move the plot, drives me batty.)

The first and sececond book were good but this one is awsome. I could'nt put it down. Parts of it had me gripping my seat.
