A new edition of the classic text critically evaluating Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosphicus and the Philosophical Investigations. Although students of philosophy have to struggle with Wittgenstein, his work is notoriously difficult and obscure. Fogelin (philosophy, Dartmouth College) provides a vital service in explaining its theories, and the concordant topics of language, logic, psychology, and mathematics. The second edition has been revised for clarity and simplicity. Any clarification would be helpful.
