This book has really opened my eyes to the reality of "big ag" and just where our food comes from. My grandparents raised chickens and had a huge kitchen garden. As a child, I helped them with that but secretly thought they were weird and wished we could eat frozen lasagna and fast food more often. Now, I'm longing to return to my grandparent's way of life myself. Turns out they were right all along. I recommend this book to anyone who thinks seriously about the environmental challenges we are facing and wonders how that is impacted by our food choices (and vice versa).
