Synopses & Reviews
A clairvoyants vision sends Celia Graves—part vampire, part Siren, and all too human—racing to evacuate a local elementary school before a concealed magical bomb goes off. She gets almost everyone out in time, then flings herself and a little girl through a window just as the device detonates!
To everyones surprise, the bomb seems to cause no damage . . . until a stubborn bruise on Celias leg is discovered to be the first sign of a magical plague aimed at schoolchildren and their parents. The disease is highly contaigious and almost 100% fatal; the cure is painful and in extremely short supply. Will everyone under ten have to be quarantined?
Tensions rise as more people succumb to the plague and big pharma seeks a big payday to speed up production of the cure. Celia is determined to find the bomber, but other things keep getting in the way: Her mother has broken out of prison; her ghostly little sister has possessed a young girl; and one of her boyfriends, a powerful mage, has disappeared in the middle of a casting.
