A colourful and fun new series that introduces animals and habitats to young children. Theres plenty to spot while looking to see whats hiding in the jungle. Peep-hole clues help the reader think of the answer before folding out the large flaps to see a wonderfully colourful scene. Peer into the jungle to discover whats behind the tall grass, dangling from a tree, sitting amongst the leaves and lurking in the river. Three questions on each animal carefully guide the reader to seek the identity of the animal hiding in the jungle. Die-cut features on the flaps reveal further clues of furrystripes, large teeth, beaks and tails.
Review
BooklistPerfectly placed peekaboo cutouts display sharp teeth here, a tuft of fur there; and page-sized flaps open to reveal a detailed illustration of each animal. The final spread features photos and facts about other rain-forest animals and provides a worthy introduction to this diverse part of the world.

Sean Callery is a writer and primary-school teacher. He has written a number of information books for publishers such as HarperCollins and Which?, as well as musicals and educational articles.
Rebecca Robinson recently graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Scientific and Natural History Illustration from Blackpool and Fylde College, UK. She has exhibited at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art and La Viande Gallery, and was Highly Commended by the Macmillan Childrens Book Prize. Her illustrations have been printed in The Independent on Sunday.
