Synopsis
Mr. Earnshaw finds a waif on the streets of Liverpool, and brings him home to raise with his children, Catherine and Hindley. From the beginning, the strange child disrupts their quiet moorland home. Catherine forms a passionate attachment to him, and Hindley hates him, seeing him as a usurper and a rival for his father's affection. Their turmoil takes them on many twisted paths before coming to rest a generation later. A brooding Yorkshire tale of a love that is stronger than death, Wuthering Heights is the only novel of Emily Bronte, who died a year after its publication at the age of thirty.
