About the Author
David R. Roedigeris Kendrick C. Babcock Professor of History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is the author of, among other books, The Wages of Whiteness, Working Towards Whiteness, and How Race Survived US History.
Mike Davisis the author of several books including City of Quartz, Ecology of Fearand Magical Urbanism. He was recently awarded a MacArthur Fellowship. He lives in Papa'aloa, Hawaii.
