I loved this book, I think I finished it in about two days total. The story itself was very gripping, and also addressed many moral issues. I loved how it had a heroine that a person could easily identify with, because you could understand her. It was one of those rare books that I have to buy after borrowing it from the library; (a rare thing indeed)something that I end up recommending to my friends before most others. Paksenarrion is the typical headstrong teen, doing before she necessarily thinks. You see her grow, and you grow as well in some ways. I keep returning to the book because I always end up finding something that I missed before, and that makes it all the much greater.

this was amazing. The character is real, the experiences are very believable and the heroism all that you want from fantasy. I read it so fast, I read it all again. This is on my yearly read list.
