Kyle Raynor is Green Lantern, a member of the Justice League of America and a space-traveling super hero who is the current heir to one of the most powerful forces in the known universe: the Green Lantern power ring. But he's got a problem: his girlfriend has just taken a liking to an average Joe who is about to be transformed into the most powerful villain Earth has ever faced. Green Lantern must stop the evil Sinestro and the invading hordes of aliens determined to destroy humanity and take over Earth.
About the Author
Christopher J. Priest began his writing career with Marvel Comics. In 1982, at the age of 21, Priest was promoted to full editor on the
Spider-Man titles, becoming the first African-American editor for a major U.S. comics publisher. In addition to
Amazing Spider-Man, Priest wrote
Black Panther and
Captain America for Marvel. For DC Comics, he has written
Wonder Woman, Justice League of America, and
Green Lantern. The mini-series that he co-wrote,
Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn, reinvented and reintroduced the character of Hal Jordan, long the most popular of all the Green Lanterns. "Sleepers" is Priest's first work in print fiction.
Mike Baron has worked for the Boston Phoenix, Boston After Dark, and the Real Paper. He broke into comics with Nexus, his groundbreaking science-fiction title co-created with illustrator Steve Rude. Baron has written The Punisher for Marvel Comics, and Batman, Deadman, and Flash for DC Comics. Nexus has garnered honors too numerous to mention, including Eisners for both creators. A prolific creator, Baron is at least partly responsible for The Badger, Ginger Fox, Spyke, Feud, and many other comic book titles. He is currently writing Detonator for Image, Faro Korbit for AP Comics, and is a regular contributor to International Studio, nostomania.com and theprecipice.com.
