Synopses & Reviews
In God's Pattern, the author tells how he discovered that the pattern of the Emmaus story--Jesus met the two disciples on the road to Emmaus after his resurrection and 1) listened to their story; 2) told them God's story by opening the Scriptures; 3) was recognized by them at the breaking of bread and so changed their lives; and 4) sent them off to Jerusalem to tell everyone else--becomes the pattern for everything we do. Stancliffe explains that we can see this pattern in our services, and we can be changed and transformed just as the two disciples were. He believes we can also see it in our mission and in the shape of the ministry of the church, and we can see it in our lives, work and daily prayer.
