Synopses & Reviews
Passages is a two-level, multi-skills course that takes students of English from the high-intermediate to the advanced level. Student's Book, 2, is designed to follow Passages Level 1. Passages continues the popular New Interchange approach to listening and speaking by offering a communicative methodology that focuses on both fluency and accuracy. At the same time, it provides more opportunities to develop reading and writing abilities, as well as more challenging content to develop students' higher-level thinking skills. It uses a systematic presentation of grammar, interactive vocabulary-building activities, as well as engaging, authentic readings and recordings. Each four-color Student's Book contains 12 units divided into 2 four-page lessons, with a review after every 3 units. The material provides between 60 and 90 hours of class instruction.
