About the Author
Wilburta (Billie) Q. Lindh, CMA holds professor emerita status at Highline Community College, Des Moines, Washington. She is the former program director and consultant to the Medical Assistant Program at Highline Community College and was awarded the Outstanding Faculty Member of the year 2000. Lindh is a member of the SeaTac Chapter of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) and has lectured at AAMA seminars and conducted in-service workshops on various topics throughout the country. She is coauthor of Thomson Delmar Learning?s Comprehensive Medical Assisting Administrative and Clinical Competencies. She also coauathored The Radiology Word Book and The Ophthalmology Word Book, texts frequently used by transcriptionists, and is the medical assistant chapter author for Guide to Careers in the Health Professions.Marilyn S. Pooler, RN, MA, MEd, is a professor in medical assisting. She taught
for more than 25 years at Springfield Technical Community College in Springfield,
Massachusetts, and served as Department Chairperson for several years. She has
served on the Certifying Board of the AAMA Task Force for test construction
and was a site surveyor for the AAMA for many years.
