Nonfiction, Autobiography. This is a great story of an orphaned boy growing up in the Soviet Union. He was groomed to become a youth leader in the Communist Party, a naval officer, and a KGB enforcer. His life was changed through the Christians he vehemently persecuted as part of his KGB job, and he eventually escaped from the Soviet Union to search for the faith of those he'd persecuted. It's an amazing story, but written in an odd literary style. If you can get past his writing, Sergei Kourdakov's life story is not to be missed.
