If you have any interest in exploring medieval Jewish philosophy, Rabbi J. David Bleich's "With Perfect Faith: The Foundations of Jewish Belief" is a must read. Dr. Bleich concisely explicates the roles of faith and dogma in Judaism. The bulk of this book is centered around Maimonides' Thirteen Principles of Faith. Dr. Bleich introduces each principle and then provides relevent selections from ten medieval phiosophers [Saadia, Bachya, Halevi, Ibn Daud, Maimonides, Nachmonides, Gersonides, Crescas, Albo, Abravanel]. A pulpit rabbi, he is also Professor of Talmud at Yeshiva University's rabbinical seminary and Professor of Jewish Law and Ethics at the Cardozo School of Law.
