About the Author
Betty Belcher's interest in floral design began in her hometown of Mossyrock, Washington. For over 30 years, she was actively involved in local and state garden clubs, serving finally as both a master judge and instructor in design and horticulture. She relinquished her state presidency to join the board of the prestigious National Council of State Garden Clubs and was subsequently appointed to their Flower Show Schools Committee. Mrs. Belcher was the author of numerous articles on the subjects of design and judging. She traveled extensively throughout the United States, teaching and lecturing.
