The reality of the New SAT situation is that there aren't many review books out there - and there certainly aren't enough practice tests! College board only released 4 tests for the New SAT - which is in no way sufficient for good preparation. This provides a money making racket for test prep companies - they can just write questions that look relevant and people will buy them - why? Because they are desperate! (And they should be!) So where does this book come into my review? I do not want to down play it when I say these tests are in no way official SAT tests and will not give you a 100% accurate score of what you will get on test day. What I do want to say, however, is that the margin of error in estimating your score is very low (This means its VERY GOOD and pretty ACCURATE). Besides being accurate, things I really like about this book are: formatting - looks like the New SAT and will make students more comfortable when faced with the real thing, realistic questions - the questions do mirror the New SAT pretty well, extremely recent - I cannot stress this enough! This book is like the second edition of the Cracking the SAT (without any content review), but why the fuss with being a second edition/recent? This book hasn't been rushed, the typos are nonexistent (haven't come across any), and the writers have had to time to really reflect the SAT - every detail is perfect and replicative of the actual SAT. These 6 tests may be the best, definitely worth a look at!
