I really enjoyed reading this thus far. This is a brilliant author. She touched all the areas I was specifically looking for. In particular, I like the examples (scenarios), journals, which are highly interactive and realistic. Every scenario I have read, I myself have experienced. These are great eye openers.

Based on the content thus far, and the remaining topics covered in the Table of Contents, this book appears to be very comprehensive in its coverage of topics, from basic to advanced, appropriate for faculty development.

About the Author
Kathryn Kalanick, CMA (AAMA), NCPT, CPI has been a post-secondary educator for 28 years. She currently owns and operates Educational Pathways in Utah, and works as an author, consultant, invited speaker, and curriculum developer. Prior to starting her own company, she was the Director of Education for Career Academy in Anchorage, Alaska. Ms. Kalanick has served as a member of the NCCT's Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Examination review teams, Delmar Cengage Learning's Medical Assisting Advisory Board, and she continues to serve as a member of other educational advisory boards nationwide. Ms. Kalanick has been instrumental in developing numerous nationally-accredited Allied Health Care curricula for both on-ground and on-line programs.
