IELTS Express is developed for students preparing to take the IELTS exam anywhere in the world. IELTS Express is a two-level series. IELTS Express Intermediate (4-5.5) provides comprehensive preparation for both the Academic and General Training modules. IELTS Express Upper-intermediate focuses exclusively on preparing learners for the Academic module. Extensive support materials are available for both the student and the teacher.
Synopsis
IELTS Express Intermediate is the first level of a two-level IELTS exam preparation series. Level one covers the IELTS band 4-5.5, providing a low entry-point for students wishing to prepare for IELTS. IELTS Express is designed to be used with both short courses of 30-40 hours, but can also be extending to up to 90 hours by using supporting materials, such as a Workbook and the Teacher's Guide.

About the Author
Martin Birtill, Richard Hallows and Mark Unwin are all current or former tutors at in the English Language Centre at London Metropolitan University, with experience of teaching IELTS and Study Skills on Foundation/Pre-sessional courses.
Martin Birtill: MBA, RSA Diploma. Martin has been in EFL for eighteen years, as a teacher and as the Marketing Director for the British Council in Milan for 5 years. He has also set up and run a Language School in London for 5 years with clients from the major banks and institutions in the City. In the last 4 years Martin has been working at London Metropolitan University teaching IELTS and study skills/EAP on Pre-sessional courses.Richard Hallows: BSc Hons, RSA Diploma (Distinction). Richard has been an EFL teacher for 12 years, a teacher trainer for 3 years and has been writing and presenting material for the BBC for 2 years. He has been teaching on EAP courses for 3 years at both London Metropolitan University, and University of Sussex.Mark Unwin: BA Hons, RSA DELTA. Mark has 12 years teaching experience including 4 years as a tutor on Pre-sessional and IELTS courses to students at Metropolitan University and at SOAS in London.
