About the Author
Louise Simmers received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland and a Masters degree in Education from Kent State University. She has worked as a public health nurse, a medical-surgical nurse, coronary care nurse and an instructor of Practical Nursing and Diversified Health Occupations. Louise has received the Vocational Educator of the Year award and the Diversified Health Occupations Instructor of the Year Award for the state of Ohio.
