Blowin' in the Wind
So, I've decided to try out for Team Titan--AGAIN. Only this time, I have captain Katie's help. These extra cheer sessions are totally making my body ache in places I didn't even know I had muscles! I'm excited to try out and prove to that I can do it, but I'm nervous about how the Grizzlies will take it. Will they think I'm a traitor?? I still haven't told my Mom or Evan. I guess I'm nervous that they'll be disappointed in me if I don't make it again. But I also SO don't want to talk to Evan about Katie. Yuck. Something about that combo makes my skin crawl. It might be because lately, I've been having sorta more-than-friendly feelings for Evan. WHICH IS NUTS. Because he's my best friend. But I can't help it. And things with Bevan are not so great, and he STILL hasn't asked me to go to the Sunshine Dance with him, which is only a couple of weeks away. I'm going to make my dress--and I REALLY hope I don't have be dateless while I'm wearing it. But, if I'm being perfectly honest, when I picture myself in this totally ADORBS dress? I see Evan standing next to me. Grrrr. Why oh why is life so complicated??
Synopsis
It's springtime in Port Angeles, and that can only mean one thing: Titan Cheerleading Tryouts, take 2! After spending all that quality time with Katie over winter break in New York--not to mention Katie offering to make her Titan-ready for spring--Maddy is back at school facing yet another try out for Team Titan. Will things be different this time? Does Maddy have the confidence to show the Titans her new-and-improved cheer skills? Or is she just another spring chicken, like the rest of the Titans' fall rejects? AND if she does try out, will the Grizzlies be cool with her following her dream, even if it means kicking them to the curb after everything they've been through? And what's springtime without the annual Sunshine Dance, and the crowning of the Sunshine King and Queen? Normally, an opportunity to design a new dress would have Maddy tickled pink...but who EXACTLY is she hoping will see her wear it: Bevan or Evan? Decisions, decisions.
