About the Author
Founded in 1948, the
Crimson Key Society (CKS) was formed to provide the Harvard Athletic Association with an organization responsible for meeting incoming athletic teams and providing accommodations for their members. By 1955, campus tours had become the focus of the Society's efforts.
Today, CKS welcomes all new students at the beginning of each year with Freshman Week, organized in collaboration with the Freshman Dean's Office, and leads historical tours of the Harvard campus throughout the year. In this guidebook, CKS has aimed to provide an accurate and compelling picture of present-day Harvard through the eyes of its own students.
