Synopsis
From a bird's eye view Malaysia spreads out like an endless green carpet: over seventy percent of the land area is covered by some of the world's oldest and richest rainforest. Rice cultivation forms patchworks throughout the peninsula, while the massive rubber and oil palm estates seem to extend forever. Human settlements cluster along the rivers and shores in Sabah and Sarawak, forming a counterpoint to the impressive natural beauty of these East Malaysian states. Acclaimed photographer Guido Albert Rossi (Florence from the Air) has captured all this, as well as coastal regions and the urban landscapes of Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Penang, and other cities of Malaysia.
