April Halprin Wayland has been a teacher, a corporate marketing manager, a fiddle player, a walnut farmer, and an aqua farmer, but she has always been a writer. An award-winning poet and the author of a number of books for young readers, she lives with her family and an odd assortment of animals in Southern California.
