Synopses & Reviews
Playful baby animals introduce young children to life on a small country farm. The little farm is quiet and cozy during the cold winter months. Every farm animal waits in its own place for winter to end. The cat and dog doze in front of a fire in the farmhouse. The hen sits on her nest. The sheep cuddle together in the barn. Then spring arrives, and all of the animals take their new babies outside to play in the warm sunshine. Each baby animal greets the outdoor world in its own special way. Calves moo, ducklings quack, chicks peep-and the little farm is quiet no longer.
Delicate, color-tinted photographs of familiar animals and a simple, lively text tell the story of life on a small farm as the season changes from winter to spring.
