Alfred (a pseudonym) writes a column for the school newspaper called Fly on the Wall. The column is a big hit with students. Harper thinks this is great. Or at least he does until Alfred pokes fun at a local thug, who then puts a bounty on the head of the columnist.
Things begin to get complicated when a school bully decides that Harper should be the one to find out who Alfred really is. If Harper reveals what he knows, he'll be in big trouble

His first, The Tuesday Cafe, also deals with the turbulent life of Harper Winslow and was nominated for the Best Books for Young Adults and Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers lists by the American Library Association. Trembath has been described as a strong new voice in Young Adult literature (Quill & Quire).
