About the Author
Born in Trinidad, Rosa Guy is the author of fifteen novels, including Bird at My Window, The Friends, and A Measure of Time. She is co-founder of both the Harlem Writers Guild and the Black Arts Movement. Guy has received the Coretta Scott King Award, The New York Times Outstanding Book citation, and the American Library Associations Best Book Award. She lives in New York City.
