Good battles Evil, and the world hangs in the balance!
Resurrected by the Shroud of Turin, the zombified Dr. Jameson intends to finish what he started 150 years ago destroying the earth with a giant space eel. "If this sounds like some overactive big-critter horror movie a' la The Blob hey, those flicks should ever be this good! Graphic novelist TenNapel has already won an Eisner award (the comics equivalent of sf's Hugo and mystery's Edgar), and his goofy, kinetic style (quite reminiscent of Will Eisner's) makes a winner out of this crazed romp." Ray Olson, Booklist

"Simply put, Creature Tech is the best American animated film since The Iron Giant....I know it's a graphic novel but when you read this thing, theres no doubt what it is. Its a movie that just happens to be in print. Its the complete storyboard, every frame, of something that would blow peoples minds....Every panel is worth looking at. Every character is worth spending time with." Moriarty, Ain't It Cool News

"[A]n oddball story that mixe[s] parts of Doctor Seuss with bits from B-movies of the 1950s and episodes of The X-Files into one slick package. TenNapel's madcap art straddles the line between serious characterization and insane images leading to serious destruction, crazy action sequences, and genre spoofs." "Creature Tech has everything you could possibly want in a graphic novel....Best of all, every page is a work of art. Doug TenNapel is brilliant!" Linda Simensky, Cartoon Network
Synopsis
Renowned for creating the award winning video game, toy line, and TV show Earthworm Jim, Doug has, this time around, produced an outrageously adventurous graphic novel that subtly examines the interplay between science, religion and family. Come witness farm-town America, where the ghost of an evil sorcerer uses the Shroud of Turin to resurrect a giant space eel in an attempt to destroy the world. And the only thing standing in his way is an atheist with an alien strapped to his chest no, really! Beautifully rendered, this is a concept that only Doug TenNapel could pull off.
