This short work is chilling (no pun intended)as it relates a journey and visit by a Christian prelate to the "lost" settlers of Greenland. The story, written as a series of messages by the prelate to his Bishop, very accurately captures the desperation of the settlers and the smug attitudes of the Church. It is witty, frightening, and captures well human action in a brutal landscape. The author realistically captures the language and mindset of the Church of the time. Well worth the read.
