And don't forget those of us screaming at the other drivers that are busy listening to their ipods, talking on their cell phones, putting on their makeup to notice that we need to get into the other lane...how rude! Can't they see we're too busy texting our best friend while sipping a double mocha vente latte to bother with a silly signal? Personally...I'm going to start taking the bus...seems safer.

"I can't wait 'til every driver has an ipod in one ear, a cellphone in the other, a laptop on the dashboard, and a DVD player built into the steering wheel." Um...didn't you forget the dripping hamburger in one hand and coke in the other while steering with the right thigh? You're not a good driver until you can do all those things...

I can't wait 'til every driver has an ipod in one ear, a cellphone in the other, a laptop on the dashboard, and a DVD player built into the steering wheel. I just hope all future cars will be made by Nerf.

there are only about 3000 products on the market designed to let a person play their ipod in the car without using headphones. buy one.

manwith7talents, there's a big difference. With the stereo on, the music becomes a part of the ambient noise, but the Ipod earbuds actually shut out almost everything but the music. Playing your stereo too loud is also stupid but most sirens are loud enough to pierce that noise. With earbuds in, though you won't hear them at all. And that's one of the things drivers are supposed to be able to hear. Deaf people can't hear cuz they're deaf. People driving with iPods on are just stupid.
