The minor changes to the plot didn't bother me. Even the characters who showed up with a monologue of backstory & exposition didn't REALLY bother me, though at times it seemed as though Weitz wasn't even trying. (The dialogue was a little like the skits we had to write & perform in French class in high school: "Bonjour, Pierre, where are you going?" "I am going to the bibliotech to rendezvous avec mon ami, Henri." "That sounds chouette, can I come?" Except replace "bibliotech" with "land of the ice bears," etc.) What REALLY got me was the Kate Bush with the ending credits. Seriously, was Enya on vacation?
