Speaking of God, Rick Springfield is so awesome too. Awesome and striking actually. I am stricken with him. Billy Squier does The Stroke but Rick Springfield is way more striking.

Good point, Alexis. Consider it stricken. Thanks for the diversion. You're right... I am awesome!

Are you there, God? It's me, Alexis. I know you're there, God. I know you're reading the litblogs in your robe and slippers like the rest of us. You need something to take your mind off the growing threat of civil war in Iraq, the rapid melting of your beautiful glaciers, and, of course, George W. Bush "honoring" Gandhi in India today. (Yeah, like, can you believe that guy?!) Listen, God, if you can find some time in your busy schedule, will you please strike the memory of the "sanitary belt" comment from Brockman's mind? I think he's becoming a little obsessed, and I'm starting to get a reputation. Thanks, God. You're so awesome.

And why, pray tell, were you searching for photos of young Emma Watson? All I can say is that I hope she's wearing a sanitary belt.
