Though the wild ride of A Good Day to Die may strike one as a bit over-the-top, the characters are expertly drawn ? so believable. Harrison instills in the reader a sense of how it is that where the protagonists come from illuminates (in ways both big and small) the inevitable end toward which they hurtle. This narrative will keep you on the edge of your seat ? a startling meditation on the origins and outcomes of following an impulse through to the end.
