Kim Chinquee's stories follow their own rules. They zigzag sentence by simple sentence, creating a dangerous territory that we can only detect by the emotional undercurrents she effortlessly creates. Like their titles, each piece is minimal in form but lingers inside a larger frame of thought. The line between story and poem is as blurry and magical as a childhood memory. Oh Baby is a fitting title for this great debut ? it's both sexy and surprising.
