This is one of those books that wraps itself so intensely around you. There's so much despair and dismal happenings that you want to put it down, to angry or upset to read anymore, yet it keeps pulling you back for you to see what happens next. The descriptions are painted beautifully even without the images within the novel. This is a fantastic spin on a favorite classic of many that will have even the most happy in this life wanting to go through the mist.

For a childrens book it was quite amazing. I myself, being out of that certain age range for this book, rather loved it. I can see why they would want to make it into a motion picture. Didn't have detail in some parts but it wasn't needed. This book sold itself. The whole series is definitely a must read for children and adults alike. It'd please just about anyone. You really get to know the characters in the book and you get even closer with the dragons. The plot, development, and dialogue make you feel really involved with the story and its characters.

I was over at a friend's house and we had just gotten back from shopping when she opened the trunk. she said she needed to get something out of it so i went to the back of her car with her. i looked at the things she had in there. some junk. some new things. (an old swinsuit with flowers on it) and then i noticed this book. i was looking for something to read so i thought why not borrow this. she said sure so i took it home. now when i start a book i usually stay up untill 12:00 reading it then i try to get some sleep. so i did that. there were some iffy parts but all in all the book was fantastic. i really enjoyed it. i laughed. i cheered and got a little teary eyed too.
