The sweetness of the narrator of this book, Eli Sisters, makes you love him and understand how all the people he kills had to be killed. A strange kind of empathy, but an important one. It's the kind of book that that reminds you there's no such thing as good guys and bad guys, not an easy task in a western.

Wait a minute? what? That can?t be right? No! She wasn?t! How can I not have know that was that was what was going on? Of course it was. Every clue along the way led me there, but I was unwilling to accept it because I didn't want it to be true. I loved this book! I can?t believe he made it work, but he really did.
