This is definitly one of my favorite books. Its a great book for young kids growing up in the world today. It shows how some kids have it better than others...and dont even know it. I thought that this book was very emotional. Once you pick it up you wont be able to put it down.

This is one of my favorite books. I cried when I read it. Its a true story about a little boy who gets tormented and abused throughout his whole childhood. As a young child him and his brothers got abused by his mother. After coming to school with a nasty scar on his face, his brothers and him got put into another home to live with there new foster mother. After a couple of weeks Davids foster mother starts to treat him the same way his mother did. She only tortured David though, she was nice to all his other brothers. I think this book is very insperational. It made me relize how much I took for granted. If this book doesnt melt your heart then you have a heart of metal.

If I had to rate this book I would give it a 4 or a 3. Its pretty confusing at first but then I got used to it. Its written as if it was a play..or a movie. Its basically about this young black man who gets sent to jail for a crime he says he didnt commit. The book is written in the young boys point of view {steven is his name}. I thought that it was very interesting to see what goes through somebodys head when there in jail waiting for there trial date. I would definetly reccomend it.
