Sweet Terrible Glorious Year I Truly Completely Lost It
by
Lisa Shanahan

, November 05, 2007
I havn't enjoyed a book this much, ever. Throughout the book Shanahan throws in these hilarious conversations, that get you laughing so hard, you can't stop. I picked this book up because the cover was pretty... yea i know your not supposed to do that, but then of course the title was catchy to. I'm so glad i bought it. I find myself reading little bits at a time, i don't want to finish it, it's to good. And i love the dog poo thing she adds, it just makes so much sense... This books for everyone, it's funny, sweet, sad, and heartwarming, helps you see through the fog.

Keeping the Moon
by
Sarah Dessen
cr_harvey94
, September 27, 2007
Sarah Dessen is my favorite author, her writings smart, funny, and sweet. All of Dessens books are so good, but there was something about this one that had so much more to it. Keeping the Moon makes your relize how mean the world is, and how to deal with it. Colie goes from being way over weight, to having a fitness crazed mom, to being fit herself, but then her reputation changes from fat girl, to slut. Colie is sent away to stay with her crazy aunt Mira for the summer while her mom goes on some health tour in europe. It seems as if all Colie wants is to be left alone. Soon she is pulled into the Last Change resteraunt, there she meets Sweet Morgan, and not so sweet Isabell. Colie finds herself working there, with them and her Aunts friend Norman, who's a crazy artist. From them she learns how to face the world, and be a strong confident women. Sarah Dessen is absolutly wonderful, every time i finish one of her books i get chills, and tear, because it's all so deep, and so real.

Empress Of The World

I accidently bought this book, i was in a hurry and didn't read the back fully. I was extremely mad at myself for buying this book, because i'm not like that. I'm not going to base my reveiw of this book by the story line, just the writing. I don't think this book deserves much praise, the writing wasn't that good, and i couldn't stay focused, she didn't make me feel anything for any of the characters, and a good author can do that, even if im not gay or whatever.

That Summer
by
Sarah Dessen
cr_harvey94
, September 08, 2007
Sarah Dessens first novel is probably her best. That summer describes a teenage girl, who's life is turned upside down, her parents are divorced, her fathers just remarried, her sisters getting married, and on top of that she's almost six feet tall, and she's only 15. But then sumner, her sisters ex boyfriend comes back in town, and he seems to make everything all right for her, until she finds out what really happened that summer years ago when Sumner was in there lives. I absolutly love the way Dessen makes you feal about being a women. Almost always her characters are independant and strong, the way a women should be.

Someone Like You
by

If i had just read the back cover of this book, and had not read anny of Dessens other books, i would've thought it was trash. The backs really misleading. Makes it sound like some book just about silly girls and there small problems in life. It's got so much more to it. It's about family, Friends, and love. It's oh so easy to fall in love with Dessens characters. And im so sad she only has like seven books or soo. I can read Dessens books any day. I think everyone should read this book. Teens, and there mothers. It is alot about motherhood, stubborn mothers, not good enough mothers, and new mothers. I just loved it.

Twilight: Twilight 1

Stephenie Meyer

I thought this book was great... not my favorite though. i did have really high expectations for it. it was Meyers first book, and it made the NY best seller list. It was good enough for five stars, i loved Edward, not so much Bella though, i thought her character wasn't that likeable. but the thing that really annoyed me, was that i bought the second book when i bought the first one. and i really dont feal like reading the second. i could do without. Over all it was a good book. It just didn't meet my expectations. but i'll give it five starts anyway...

Creek

This book was one of the worst i have ever read, it's almost as if the author didn't know what it was like to be around the age of 13. The main character was supposed to be 12 i think, but the author made her sound eight or nine, and then her neighbor whos like fourteen goes out with Caleb who's like college aged?? What was going on in this authors head i do not know, i just know it was totally messed up. Caleb wasn't scary, he was just some kid who there were rumors about, i thought this book looked really good.. but it was really bad.

This Lullaby
by
Sarah Dessen

I recently readThe truth about forever, another Dessen novel, and decided i needed more. This Lullaby was just as good as the other, I even found myself more fond of the charcters in this book, especially Dexter, a fun loving muscian who isn't perfect.. but seeing it through Remy's eyes, he might as well had been perfect. I love Dessens books and can't wait to read another.

hmm.. I absolutly loved the book.. besides the ending.. I got the book where at the end it had little extras written by the author.. i found it weird that Johnson had said that she wrote like 3 drafts but always knew how the ending would be.. I thought that was the worst possible way she could've ended her story. Now i am going to remember this book in a bad way because of that last letter. Sorry Johnson, nice try tho.

The Truth About Forever
by
Sarah Dessen
cr_harvey94

phenomenal, I've never read any books by Sarah Dessen, but after reading this one, i'm going to have to find some. Macy Queen is a believable character, she tries to be perfect for her mom after her fathers death, that's what i would do, she is also not to quick to jump on Wes, which builds there relationship. Oh and the Romance scene in the end, it gave me shivers, i read it over and over, i was so happy with her ending, and i am very picky with endings, i just thought it was great, Happy reading =]

I thought this book was really good, just not good enough for five stars, i hated the ending i must say. She didn't give you any clues about what would happen, it almost made me feel bad about myself. The story was unbelieveable, but i guess sometimes that is what fiction is. I really liked the character Josh, but the rest i wasn't so sure about.

Amazing, this was the first book i had ever read that Richie wrote, and actually this book inspired me, i dont know why but the writeing was so good and the plot so well thought out. One night i went to a book fair and found this book for about 18 cents, I had never liked books then, but i bought the book anyway because it looked ok. i went home that night and read it, read the whole thing, read till 2 am. I was stunned, i was so freaked out, i love the way richie makes you feel when your reading her books. She's probably the best writer i've read, and i've read alot.

This has to be one of the best books of all time, although it was hard to understand most of it because i am only 13 and the writeing is old english. I still loved the book because i knew enough about the literature to get the plot and it was really good, Mr.Rochester is a character that seems like he would be the last person that you'd fall in love with, which makes it even better.

But it was just so amazing and realistic, because Anthony used things from real life, i recamend this series to all.

I've heard so many bad reviews on this book, and i just dont get why. I read this book because i enjoyed the Alex Rider series, although i thought this would be more to my likeing because im into horror, and it was, i thought the ravens gate books were so much better then the Alex Rider books. Matt is a likeable character, and in no way did i see what was comeing, i had no clue that the town was evil or that he was one of the five, i think the beggining to the series is great, and should have better rateings.

Keturah & Lord Death
by
Martine Leavitt

This was probably one of the best love stories i've read, it was kind of slow paced, but it was defenetly worth the wait. Over the story lord death becomes a loveable character, the only thing i didn't really like was that the ending was predictable. It might not be for some, but if your an author like me, and you know how you'd end the story. it's not hard to figure out

One star is pushing it. This was probably the most dissapointing book i have ever read. It was about 500 pages long and seriously the author could've gotten her point along with just 100, so that leaves 400 pages of nothing, i was going to put the book down but then i read online that the ending was worth waiting for. DONT LISTEN TO THEM. in the end it almost made me want to poisen myself to, i disliked this book so much im not even going to give "the year of secret assignments" a chance because im to afraid that it will be like this book. I absolutly hated it.
