This is another beautifully written book by Philippa Gregory. The story touches on religious conflict, marital conflict, and the emotional struggle for a womanâs self fulfillment in the midst of political danger and court intrigue. It is elegant and rich where so many other historical fiction novelists are transparent and forced.

The Mists of Avalon
by
Marion Zimmer Bradley

This book is one of the pride of my fantasy/ science fiction collection. It has held a major influence over my personal writing and my understanding of modern myth telling. It is the capstone of Marion Zimmer Bradleyâs large repertoire of female empowered novels. This book contains feminine spirituality, adventure and depth of character which only an experienced story teller can create. This book is a must have for anyone who follows fantasy fiction or avalonian anthologies. I can not recommend it highly enough.

This book is an erotic exploration of the submissive lifestyle told in a vivid fantasy setting. The main characters are enticing with sensual interaction underpinned by fae elements. The main character is an otherworld minded woman exploring her own exquisite sexuality through the ministrations of a beloved slave trainer for an illustrious sex trade. It is an open minded book with steamy poliamorous scenes and a potent message of freedom of sexual expression.
