This book and the subsequent two of the series were read to me in first grade by my teacher. Have forever remembered these stories with great fondness and believe they contributed to my lifelong love of reading.

Standing Still
by
Kelly Simmons

Kelly Simmons' first novel is engaging from the first page to the last. The juxtaposition of intrique and psychology keep you waiting for each new development or insight to unfold. Very much a page turner and easy to read in 2 or 3 sittings. Concise, well-written, and Simmons manages to convey much without over-embellishment. I highly recommend this book if only for pure entertainment value. For those of you looking for something deeper, it won't disappoint.
