This book starts of a little slow but once you've gotten to around page 80-85 it really takes off. I was completely hooked by the end of the book and salivating for more. I love this authors books under her other name of Cindy Miles, which are a little more tame than this series. However, this series takes things up a notch and really delivers. Portraing vampires in both the "romance" version that we all love to dream about and the chilling "horror" type mosters of old was a wonderful twist. Rock on Elle, you go girl!

This was my favorite book of last year not only because it was a wonderful story, but the author writes in a way that is clean and "blush-free." I have no problem letting my teenage daughter read any of her books. The story is so well-written and exciting that there is no need for overly fouly language or embarrassing sex scenes. It is full of action, adventure, and romance. I hope she continues with the series. There is no such thing as "too much of a good thing" with these loveable characters/family members. A hearty thumbs up!

This was a wonderful story and excellent for the novice reader. Although this is not the most intellectual book of the decade, it did get me interested in reading. The story was very good and addictive. It really opened the doors to many other authors that I fell in love with. Thanks to Twilight I am an avid reader. I typically go through 3 books a week.

I stumbled on this book by accident and was hooked from the first few pages. It was full of action and kept you guessing throughout. Wonderful fully developed characters. I could not put it down and had it finished in less than 2 days!! If you like vampire stories/series then this is a must!
